Those that deny the father and the son are deemed anti-christs. This is to differentiate from the one world ruler known as the Anti-christ who is to come. St. John explained the difference between the two with the Anti-christ (singular) to come but that there are already many antichrists (plural) that have already appeared.
Who is a liar but he that denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the father... For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confesses not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and antichrist. Little children, it is the last time: and as you have heard that Antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time. They went out from us...
