The market-place in the time of Jesus were small shops and stalls where goods of every kind and sort might be bartered for. The ones today are of a different matter entirely for they dominate every facet of individual life. Jesus has come against the market-place in these last days for it stands for the One World Order that Jesus is coming to topple and give over to the poor.

Michael Lerner, philosopher, psychologist and author, writes that "This focus on money and power may do wonders in the marketplace, but it creates a tremendous crisis in our society. People who have spent all day learning how to sell themselves and to manipulate others are in no position to form lasting friendships or intimate relationships... Many Americans hunger for a different kind of society -- one based on principles of caring, ethical and spiritual sensitivity, and communal solidarity. Their need for meaning is just as intense as their need for economic security."

The Lord has given Christians the grace to reconcile the children to their Fathers
