Barbarian Invasions
The Barbarian Invasions were the Germanic tribes invading the Roman Empire and coincided with
the disintegration of the Roman Empire. The Roman world suffered a series of disasters,
barbarians were only one. Huns, Vandals.. in general there was no resistance, because the
masses knew it was useless. The west fell back again into the elementary economic life of
primitive peoples. The indications are that they were few in number, but once they invaded
a country, they would be joined by the oppressed.
