Bethphage

Bethphage was a little village at the eastern foot of the Mount of Olives, near to Bethany. It was about a Sabbath day's journey from Jerusalem and on the way from Jerusalem to Jericho . The name means house of unripe figs.

After sharing with the multitude the parable of the pounds, Jesus sent two of His disciples into the village of Bethphage, there they would find a colt tied, which was used in the triumphant entry into Jerusalem.
