Step Into Change

Cyndee Pillow

My people do not like change, but unyielding to change is a form of rebellion. Everything must be submitted to me. Change is necessary for further growth. I scatter seeds abroad to bring in a mighty harvest. Would I not send you where I will? You have reached a place where there is an end of a thing now. A new direction is being mapped out before you. No more can you look back pondering or questioning why or how. This will keep open wounds from healing. This will cause them to be infected and you will remain unhealed. This will cause you to be unfit for service & will cause you not to see clearly.

Consider that I have had a plan from the beginning. Even though things have not gone as you thought or as previously planned, I am not surprised the least bit. Where I am sending you, there is abundant grace. Until you are planted in this place, you will battle the doubts and fears that come with new beginnings. However, as you step into this, you will come under my willed plan and purpose and destiny for you. At this moment you will have stepped into my peace that will pick up the shattered parts and for clear direction for each step. This level is to fine tune you for the next step. As a skilled musician has an ear for music, I will fine tune you on this level. This will be quickly done, as you submit to My instruction. The time will depend on how well you are able to listen, hear and obey Me fully. Behold, I go before you. I make a way for you to walk that will bring great pleasure to Me. I desire to show myself mighty through you.

"Cast your cares upon Me for I care for you." Destiny awaits you.

"Thus saith the Lord to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of the kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut. I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron; And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the Lord, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel." Isaiah 45:1-3

For the People of America

Elton Williamson

I am a holy, pure and righteous God and I am the very expression of love for My people but I grieve.  I carry the weight of the sin of the day upon Me.  I carry the folly of your desires within Me.  I survey the landscape of the times and My heart is broken, for you know not the hour in which you live.  You are consumed with the pleasures of the moment.  You are looking for the comfort and satisfaction of the hour, that thing which the enemy of your spirit uses to pull your gaze away from Me.

My church is staggering to and fro, trying to implement every plan of man to build that which looks good but has no inner life.  Many build to reflect only their image and not the image of My Father.  The halls of worship ring out with much sound and many glorious words spring forth but in many places they are hollow.  They are created in the mind and not the spirit.  They copy man´s way, trying to lead all that hear into My presence.  They fall silent at the door of My House, there is no lasting life within, they are left as rubble, only giving a pretence of what I desire.

I alone can overcome the deception of the day.  My Word is strong, true and mighty.  The power of My Kingdom has been set aside, replaced in many places with only the unchallenging, unrepentant voice of man.  I am bringing forth a mighty shaking among My people.  I shall call into accounting those that are building My Kingdom upon the sand.  I am calling you into new places in Me.  Places where My power and My authority are sought, places where My Spirit divides many from the “flesh’ of the day.  I am not in a secret place where I cannot be found.  I stand in the open with outstretched arms, ready to draw in, ready to send forth, ready to execute the final hours of battle.  I am the God of all and I desire to be placed at the forefront of your every day.  I am not willing to share My Spirit with those that cry out in My name only to walk in the perversity of the times, knowingly mocking My very word.

Judgment shall begin to fall upon the unholy in high places.  My hand of mercy shall be lifted in many lands and yes, even in many places that call Me “Lord’.  My truth was once planted into the heart and spirit of My people but many have entwined it with the ways of man.  You cannot separate Me from your land and expect to reap the reward of My blessings forever.  Calamity shall come across unexpected places and many shall know sorrow that has not touched them before.  I am your salvation; I am your place of peace in coming days.  I am that rock you can stand upon as many revel upon the sand of the ungodly.  Many diverse lands shall see My covering fall away in coming days and there shall be a time of unrest, a time of purging, a time of replenishing My Spirit and the steadfastness of My Kingdom.  The lessons of the past are quickly forgotten and swept aside.  To ignore My patience is to hasten your downfall.  My heart is for all to receive Me.  My strength is your pathway through times of trouble.

Heed My words and My warnings.  I will fulfill that which I speak.  I am the light of the World and I will not allow the approaching darkness across the earth to overcome the righteous of the day.  Be not found standing in a place of separation from the truth of My Word.  I desire that My Spirit, the very center of My strength be released in My people.  You must be full of who I am.  You must be able to discern My voice in your inner man in coming days.  Many shall miss the truth and My hand of guidance, thinking man has the answer, seeking a pleasant place in the midst of strife.  Be not unprepared, be not unaware, and be not found in the company of deceivers.  Your place of rest is in Me.  Draw close for wickedness shall overcome those that do not set themselves apart from the shallowness that is invading the hearts of many.  You are My Bride and I have called you.  Do not prepare for only the moment for you shall be left standing at the door.  Seek Me while there is yet a season of righteousness among you.

George, Please Tell Me, Would You Consider Becoming Religious?

by Rabbi Dennis G. Shulman

No president of the United States has asserted his religiosity more than George W. Bush. And yet, as a person who takes his own religious tradition seriously, no president has so embarrassed me by acting in such a way as to violate the essential ethical message of religion and the teachings of its most honored founders.

As a twenty-first century American, steeped in this ancient literature, I cannot hear the present without also hearing the echoes of the past. I cannot read of what Bush and his administration have done in these five years without hearing the voices of the Torah, the prophets and Jesus reminding him and us that we as individuals and as a society can and should do better.

When President Bush makes countless executive decisions in which he sacrifices environmental concerns to the interests of particular industries, I hear the voice of Genesis. It is in the first book of the Bible that, after creating the man and placing him into Eden, God announces to us our species' job description. We are here to tend this global garden.

When President Bush pressures Congress to eliminate or limit a whole range of social and legal services designed for those who are in need, I hear the adamant voices of Moses and the prophets. For Moses, walking with God means taking care of the widow, the orphan and even the stranger who live among us. It means opening our hands widely to the poor. It means establishing a legal system and a civil administration which is neither influenced by money nor class.

For the biblical prophets, God judges a society, not on the basis of its martial triumphs, influence or wealth, but on how the powerful treat the powerless. For the prophet, a society is known by how the weakest live. For an Isaiah or a Jeremiah, a society's growth or decline is dependent upon the seriousness with which a ruler takes his social responsibility to the poor and the disenfranchised.

When President Bush, during this disastrous period of war and of record budget deficits, favors the wealthiest among us with tax decreases, saddling the middle class, the poor, and all our children with heavy fiscal burdens, I hear the voice of the President's "favorite political philosopher." Jesus of Nazareth taught on the mountain that those whom should be blessed and cared for are the poor, the meek and the peacemaker. Like his insistent prophetic predecessors, Jesus had no patience whatsoever for those who would show favor to the powerful over the powerless.

Many have argued that President Bush is too religious. On the contrary, I would argue that the President is not religious enough.

This president has not yet fully grasped the vast personal and social implications of taking the great wisdom of our ancient religious texts seriously. This president has not yet appreciated his personal and political responsibility to transform the highest ethical values of the Jewish-Christian tradition into a moral society in which all divine images are treated with respect.

George, please, for our sake, for God sake, it is time for you to find religion!

Judgment of One Another

by Reverend Karen Lundquist

Proverbs 24:29 Say not, I will do so to him as he hath done to me: I will render to the man according to his work. 1 Thessalonians 5:15 See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men.

Even now as I reminisce, my heart breaks for the Body of Christ and I´m prompted by the Holy Spirit to search my own heart. Because, you see, God is asking us to consider one another and love one another lest we end up in pride.

Luke 18:11 The Pharisee stood up and prayed about himself: 'God, I thank you that I am not like other men-robbers, evildoers, adulterers-or even like this tax collector. 12 I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.' 13 "But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, 'God, have mercy on me, a sinner.' 14 "I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted." NIV

It is clear that the Pharisee who stood to pray was standing alone as he prayed. He declares "I am not like other men, and I am not like this tax collector. But these are the things I do, I fast and give."

Often, the proud will separate themselves from others. They often will stand back, peering and judging those less fortunate, or those who do not live up to their standards and ideals. And if someone doesn´t measure up, they are considered failures and good-for-nothing.

This tax collector knew what he did for a living. Perhaps this was one of the reasons he stood at a distance and wouldn´t look up as he beat his breast and cried out, saying, "God, have mercy on me a sinner." No doubt he knew how people felt about him. He was probably ridiculed and isolated because of the way he made his living. Yet, in the end, this humble man went home justified before God.

The bible says those who exalt themselves will be humbled. This means it is possible the arrogant will be brought down or altered from a state of certain high opinions of themselves. Things don´t always remain the same. Things change. Some profit more than others, but those that have profit stand to loose everything while abiding in a state of pride. Isa 47:7 You said, 'I will continue forever — the eternal queen!' But you did not consider these things or reflect on what might happen. 8 "Now then, listen, you wanton creature, lounging in your security and saying to yourself, 'I am, and there is none besides me. I will never be a widow or suffer the loss of children.' 9 Both of these will overtake you in a moment, on a single day:

Pride, in the sense of unrealistic, excessive, magnified vision of self above another, is an extension of pure sin and will bring sickness and even death. Hezekiah operated in pride, but repented and was forgiven. 2 Chron 32:26 Notwithstanding Hezekiah humbled himself for the pride of his heart, both he and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that the wrath of the LORD came not upon them in the days of Hezekiah. KJV

Pride is a chain that will weigh you down and keep you from your destiny. It doesn´t matter how successful you are, how much you own, how many work for you, or how much money you make. Pride says, 'You ought to do what I do. I have the answers. Look at your failures, and look at all I have accomplished!' But if the prideful continue with superior attitudes and mind-sets, God´ s wrath will be poured out onto that situation and the prideful will fall. Prov 16:18 Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall. Prov 29:23 A man's pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit.

Pride isn´t something that is unforgivable. God forgives pride in an individual as long as they truly repent, as Hezekiah did. Hezekiah humbled himself, both he and the inhabitants of Jerusalem. True repentance is the realization of truth. It changes old patterns and behaviors. Its knowing you have sinned against God. And, in return, repentance bathes the soul in God´s righteousness, not your own.

Matt 5:22 But I tell you that anyone who is angry with his brother will be subject to judgment. Again, anyone who says to his brother, 'Raca,' is answerable to the Sanhedrin. But anyone who says, 'You fool!' will be in danger of the fire of hell. 23 "Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, 24 leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to your brother; then come and offer your gift. NIV

If you know you have caused someone grief because of a self-righteous attitude, or if you have been wounded through someone´s arrogance, there is hope for reconciliation. It is God´s will that the brethren be brought back together into a state of peace and harmony. But if there is one who is not willing to make it right, its up to you to find your peace in God regarding the situation. Release that person. Don´t carry a grudge. Release the resentment, the feelings of deep bitter anger and ill will. Don´t let these unfortunate debates set you back, because that is what will happen. Holding on to anger or frustration over a matter will cause you to smolder in self-seething, and you will stagnate in your walk with God.

Dear Ones, let it go! Forgive and let live. Allow God to wash you afresh so you will be able to move on in your calling unhindered. Nothing is worth the stunting of your growth and ministry. Forgive and move on, for tomorrow will be a new day of challenge and purpose as you love the brethren and walk in the ways of the Lord.

My Bride's Gowns Have Become Soiled

Stephen Hanson

Does a maiden forget her jewelry, a bride her wedding ornaments? Yet my people have forgotten me, days without number.  Jeremiah 2:32

"Be of good cheer, for I have overcome the world. I have overcome everything in your life. The times that you have passed through the waters, I have been there with you.  I am with you when you are in the fiery furnace. From the deepest waters to the highest heights, I am there with you. "

{I was given a vision of the Lord and He was holding something in his hand. He seemed to twirl it back and forth in his arms and then it was released and was suspended in mid-air. It was a beautiful delicate crown with precious stones laid upon it. It looked very much like what Miss America wore after she had been chosen.  I asked, "Who is this for?" The Lord replied, 'This is the crown for my bride.' I saw the beautiful crown as it was suspended in the air as if a body would be below it, but there was none. I asked, "Where is the bride's body?" The Lord said, 'She is not ready yet.' "I tell you that I am working and perfecting my bride, but she is not ready yet.  She has become soiled and she is not dressed in her beautiful gowns.  [The Lord now showed me a picture of the bride, I saw a gown that looked like a marriage gown but it was tattered, torn, and had moth-like holes all through it. It was like the gown was perhaps beautiful at one time, but now it was being worn by a harlot.] Then He showed me another scene and said, "This is what my bride's gown should look like, but she is dead." I saw a beautiful gown for a bride, with a cape or robe draped around it, but there was no head. It looked ghostly in appearance.}

"I tell you that I ask not that my bride would buy her garments from the world. For this is what she has done. She has mixed the things of the world with my word.  I have the proper clothes for her, but she must exchange the things of the world with my kingdom."

Can God Trust You?

by Olufunso Joseph Omidiran

And the LORD said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do; "
Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation and all nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?
For I know him, that he will command his children after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgement; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him"
Gen.18: 17-19

Our message for this week is in form of a question. God Himself is the best Judge. But our attitude before the Almighty will determine the answer. God places every child of His upon an open/plain platform of test. If He does not test you, He cannot bless you. Unless He trusts you, He cannot entrust eternal treasures in your care.

God indeed is mighty in wisdom and glorious in deeds but He yet delights in having fellowship with men whom He will also be able to trust and entrust with divine treasures. However, it takes time before God finds a sure man. You see, He will first give you opportunity to prove and express your true colour. He keeps watching you quietly (silently). You cannot bribe Him into influencing His opinion about you. He is extremely faithful. He can neither lie nor be partial.

GOD TRUSTING A MERE MAN…DOESN´T THAT LOOK AWKWARD?

Well, it is not so. God chose to create man in His own responsible image so that man might be enabled to fully represent His purpose and desire. In fact, Man is a creature of purpose and trust. With God in charge, man is expected to be accountable. When Adam was put in the Garden of Eden, he was given charge of everything therein and he was shown his limit. God trusted him to do all things and be mindful of his limit. But man became irresponsible by reason of disobedience.

"He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the list is unjust also in much.
If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?
And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man´s, who shall give you that which is your own?" Luk 16:10-12
Can He trust you with the revelation of His will, plan and purpose (Read Gen.18: 17;Psa 25:14).
Are you a man or woman of great promise, great future? Are you cognizant of His future plans for your life? (Gen.18: 18)

LISTEN TO WHAT GOD SAYS OF ABRAHAM:
"For I know him…"(Gen. 18:19). Does He know you? You can only know somebody by reason of intimacy. How intimate with God are you? Have you been with Jesus? (Acts 4:13).
Can God vouch for you concerning your children and entire household, like He did for Abraham our father? Everyone and everything God places around you is upon trust e.g. your husband, your wife, your children, your job, your education, your position, your ministry, your wealth and possessions. All are on trust and you will surely give account one day.
Can God entrust men´s souls to your care? Will He not be so much ashamed of you because of those souls that you have misled whose destinies were attached to you?
How do you serve before men, is it as unto the Lord?
Can He trust you with earthly resources? Unfortunately, many of God´s people have missed it in the aspect of money handling.
We have been admonished in the Scriptures to make our calling and election sure (established), so that God may grant us abundant entrance into His supernatural resources (2Pet.1: 10,11)

CONCLUSION
God keeps seeking for those He can trust, not just for crowds in the church. Choose to be one of such today.(Consider 2Chro.16:9;Joh.4:23,24)

Prayer Points
Lord, make me a dependable and trustworthy Christian before You.
Lord, deliver me from all my crooked ways: destroy all untrustworthiness in my heart today.
Lord, make me whole and take me to my land of fulfillment
…In JESUS´ MIGHTY NAME.Amen

Meeting Jehovah Jireh in Prayer

Sammy Tippit

When Jesus taught His disciples to pray, He taught them first to place their focus on the character and attributes of God - "Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name.." He opened the door of prayer with their eyes fixed firmly upon God. Prayer is basically intimacy with God. Jesus wanted those who followed Him to know that prayer isn't some mystical formula or religious ritual, but rather it's the communion of two hearts. Therefore, He taught His disciples to praise and worship God for who He is and to really get to know Him.

After the disciples had a clear view of God, they would understand that which was on the heart of God. When their hearts saw His heart, it would be natural for them to pray for the things that were on His heart. They would see the needs of the world and begin to pray for God's will in the world as He taught them to pray, "Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven." They would pray for His rule and reign in the hearts of men and women.

Once the disciples had worshipped the Father, they would then cry out to Him for the things on His heart. That's powerful praying. But then Jesus instructed His disciples to bring their needs to God as He taught them to pray, "Give us today our daily bread." They were to bring every need to God. Bread represented the most basic of human needs. Without food, we can't survive. Therefore, Jesus taught His disciples to look to God to meet every need in their lives.

There's an interesting observation about Jesus' teaching on prayer. Notice the order in which He taught the disciples to pray. First, their focus was to be upon God, then the needs of the world, and finally their own needs. That's almost reverse of the way in which most of us pray. We often pray, "Oh, God, help me! I need this. Please give me that." We frequently open the door of prayer with our focus upon ourselves rather than upon God. Powerful praying isn't just fervent praying, but it's praying with the heart of God. We begin with God and that focus thrusts us supernaturally into praying for others. The final outcome is that He meets our needs. He's Jehovah Jireh. He cares for us and knows every need of our hearts.

If we will seek first His kingdom, Jesus said that He would meet every need of our lives. In fact, immediately after teaching the disciples how to pray, He told them, "But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well" (Matt. 6:33 NIV). God is faithful to His children. Prayer that puts first the kingdom of God and His righteousness will always result in God's provision and supply.

In praise and thanksgiving, we get to know God in His greatness and goodness. In intercession, we come to know the heart of God. But in supplication, we meet God as Jehovah Jireh - God, our Provider. Why don't you spend some time today in prayer. Just get to know God. Get to know Him as your Father, who sits upon His throne - the almighty, holy God who deeply loves the world. And as you get to know Him, you'll discover that He will meet every need of your life.
