BECOMING FRUITFUL IN THE KINGDOM
Paul Weigel
Part of our makeup as human beings is to find a purpose for our
life. God made us this way so He could fulfill us with His purpose
and thereby bring pleasure to us, and glory to Him. It is part of
His plan for His Body. As a member of the Body of Christ, every
person has a unique place of service. We were reborn into this
new life which is characterized by abundant fruitfulness, to bear
fruit. It is not our efforts which produce fruitfulness but rather,
fruitfulness is the work of the Holy Spirit. Our calling to service
to Jesus is not necessarily some physical activity (although it often
is), rather, it is a spiritual cooperation with the Holy Spirit
to produce fruitfulness not only in others' lives, but first and
foremost, in our own lives.
Our North American concept of fruitfulness is not necessarily
God's concept of fruitfulness. We may have visions of preaching
to a football stadium of people or praying for the sick. We may
have thoughts of successful ministry through business and giving
millions of dollars to the work of the Kingdom. All of these
things may be a result of fruitfulness. This, however, is not
the essence of fruitfulness, but rather the manifestation of it.
Fruitfulness is the acquisition of the treasure of the Kingdom.
Receiving life from the Holy Spirit and surrendering to His
pruning will produce the fruit of the Kingdom of God which is
our first service to Him. This process of sanctification,
therefore, is for every Believer. Every person who confesses
Christ as Lord and Saviour is destined for sanctification,
purging, and preparation to reign forever with Him. We are
commanded to be fruitful by abiding in the ongoing flow of life
and sanctification of Jesus (Matt. 15:1-8). It is His work in us
which produces the fruit, and it is the fruit which is our ministry
to God. Outward signs of ministry may not necessarily be fruitfulness
since Jesus warned about doing the work of the Kingdom out of an
impure motive. These can be dead works which do not flow out of
the life we draw from Christ.
"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these
things will be given to you as well." Matt 6:33 NIV articulates
this view of our service to God: to become what He has called us
to seek to be and the rest of life will fall into place. It sets
our surrender to the discipline, purification, and the
sanctification process as the highest priority in any Believer's
life. Our surrender and cooperation with this purpose is our first
ministry to God. It is through our becoming like Him that we
overcome the Flesh, the world, and the Devil. This brings glory
to God. This is our preparation for ministry as the Bride of Christ.

SIGNS OF THE TIMES: Recent protests at meetings of Global trade
organizations in Windsor and Seattle are the beginning of a
growing division between those who have benefited from
globalization and those who see it as the destruction of
democracy. Global trade organizations who represent the
interests of huge multi-national corporations can dictate
policy to governments by punishing them through trade sanctions
and the "flight of capital". This is the beginning of a powerful
super-government which has no accountability to citizens.
It will have the power to economically crush those who will not
comply with its policies. It will destroy the environment and
dictate economic policy, world-wide. It won't be long before
we will see those with this kind of power abuse it. Scripture
says that the leaders of this group will persecute the saints of
God because they refuse to comply. We have nothing to fear.
Jesus will lead us and protect us AND these are just the labour
pains which MUST come before the birth of the Lordship on earth
of Jesus Christ. Glory!

BECKY McLENDON
I kept "hearing" the phrase "Fire of Heaven" all day long
in my spirit yesterday, and that phrase applied to
something that can be seen in the eyes of God's own, His
people, in this hour. Many are coming to a place where,
having spent much time before Him, bonded to Him, moving
in
Him, resting in Him and hearing His voice, that there will
be seen in them FIRE in their eyes. What would this fire
represent? Purity? Yes, more than likely, there will be
evidence of a stepped up process of purification for the
saint of God has yielded his members up to God and allowed
them to be confronted by His burning truth at the altar of
incense. Though they feel a sense of temporal loss, as
the Holy Spirit burns out EVEN the hidden things of the
heart and says, NO I cannot allow you to have even these
little things, they allow Him to take them. They KNOW
that to allow even the "little" sins of attitude and
thought pattern will keep them from knowing the Father to
the fullest. The Bridegroom seeks a BRIDE who is
SPOTLESS. She will have FIRE in her eyes because she
will have been purified by FIRE. She has found His Word to
be faithful and true, and has loved that word. This fire
in the eyes also represents HOLY ZEAL for the House of
God. The saint of God has been heading for this
tabernacle all his born again days, and his fervent desire
is to see those around him headed that same direction.
The fire in the eyes of a saint of God is Christ LIFTED UP
BEFORE MEN, the ONE who will draw all men unto Himself.
Many will seek these fiery eyed ones and inquire of
them..JUST WHAT IS IT YOU HAVE ...WE MUST HAVE IT TOO
because this mess we are in is NOT working any more. The
fire in the eyes of God's own is perpetual. It cannot be
extinguished. It reflects singleness of purpose...THOUGH
NONE GO WITH ME, YET I WILL FOLLOW. It reflects a face
set like a flint toward a cross of self denial, death to
flesh, complete shedding of worldly thoughts and
traditions, pressing toward the PRIZE, toward the UPWARD
CALLING in Christ Jesus, toward CHRIST IN US THE HOPE OF
GLORY. The Fire of Heaven in the eyes of His people
reflects a burning bush on the mountain in the desert. It
reflects Zion, a parched place. Those with the fire of
heaven in their eyes have met the Lord in the desert and
tasted of him there, eaten of His table in the presence of
howling enemies, rested by His still waters, and laid down
in green pastures ...yes they have found Him to be an
oasis in that desert, and they began to BLOOM there. They
tend to now prefer the desert place because he is so
keenly close to them there. I believe He would say to us
this day: "You will be known by the visible Fire of
Heaven in your eyes, for I am allowing it to be seen in
this hour. My own people will readily know one another in
a way they have not experienced before because of the
visible Fire of Heaven in their eyes. They will begin to
KNOW as I have known them, thus seeing the complete man of
God in each other...this ability to see completeness in
one another will do away with all traces of judgmentalism,
skepticism, lack of trust, etc. in one another...You will
TRULY come to unity for you will have properly discerned
My body...You will TRULY commune with them and with Me now
for the fire will be so clear. You will TRULY be known as
my people because of the LOVE you have one for another...a
pure and holy love with no chains of soulishness or
uncleanness...you will love one another as you are loved
by ME. Welcome the fire, my people!!! WELCOME my truth
burning into your lives and give up that which encumbers
your walk this very day!!! For LO I stand at the door and
knock...Will you let me FULLY IN? You have said you have
"Received me as saviour"...but I say this day DO YOU KNOW
ME? It is time to cast aside all religion, all cares and
thoughts that are not of me and seek me with all you have,
for I come to ignite the fire of heaven into your spirit
to consume you completely. Open to Me my beloved this
day." Amen and AMEN
A PRAYER TO RAISE UP CITY-WIDE LEADERSHIP
Prayer for Spiritual Leadership for the Church of the City
Almighty Father, we come before you in the Name of Jesus and humbly ask that you raise up men and
women, who are called, gifted and anointed for the purpose of leading the advancement of your Kingdom in and
from this city and region.
Grant them a continually deepening desire to know the Lord and to explore His heart and Word. May they be
filled with the Spirit of God, with skill, ability, knowledge and Christ-like character for all that is required to build and
extend your Kingdom. May they be leaders who are continually growing in loving the Lord their God with all their
heart, mind, soul and strength and their neighbor as themselves.
Raise up shepherds who will lead wisely, compassionately and courageously in a manner pleasing to the Good
Shepherd. Through them increase your Church, renew its ministry, and unite its members in a holy fellowship of
truth and love.
Grant them the grace and power which you gave your apostles, evangelists, prophets, pastors and teachers
that they may lead your people to effectively proclaim your gospel in word and deed. Anoint them with the same
anointing that was on Christ in His earthly ministry.
May the Spirit of the Lord rest upon them, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and
might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord. Like Christ may they discern rightly and not judge only by
what they see and hear. (Isaiah 11:2-4).
Help them to have the same attitude as that of Christ and to imitate His practice of authentic humility and
servanthood (Philippians 2:1-8). May they be strengthened to be diligent stewards of both the message and the
ministry of reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:16-20).
May their motivation and methods be similar to that of Jesus and the Apostle Paul (Philippians 2:1-11;
Thessalonians 2:1-10;). May they be governed by the desire to please God and not to please men or look for their
praises. May they never practice flattery or manipulation but be pure of heart without selfish ambition or vain
conceit.
Grant them your protection spiritually, emotionally, physically and materially (Psalm 91; John 17:11). Sanctify
them by the truth (John 17:17). Unite them in Christ for the sake of His Name and Work (John 17:21-23).
Father may you also appoint for your chosen leaders sufficient helpers full of faith and of the Holy Spirit, who
are like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose for the eager fulfillment of the Great
Commission locally and worldwide (Acts 6:3; Philippians 2:2-4).

I will never forget the first time I stepped out of my
grandfather's house after being saved and taking the love that
had just exploded in my heart to the streets. From house to house I
went, knocking on ever door with the same line, "Do you want to talk
about Jesus?!" Then finally going back to the same neighborhood where
I, just days before, was dealing drugs and peddling stolen jewelry
for cocaine. Dozens of kids, drug dealers, and junkies gathered
around to hear this strange sound, "Jesus loves you man…"
I will never forget watching these people bow down on the concrete in
broad day light and ask Jesus in their hearts even as I did hours
before. Sobbing and crying out to the Lord right there on the
streets. Grown men and women smitten by a Power that transcended all
despair and sin piercing heart and soul. The manifest presence of the
Lord that could cause skeptics to be transformed into saints.
Prostitutes into princesses. Rebels into righteous radicals. I was
becoming addicted to the glory of God.
I witnessed this in the first few days of my salvation experience
with Jesus. I became hooked to the passion and power of the Lord as
waitresses bowed at the end of the table and accepted Him as Lord and
Master. As hardened criminals sat at the foot of the cell bed and
wept like babies and repented from their sins. Like a junkie sticks a
needle into his vein for that jolt, that rush, I became a junkie for
the demonstration of Jesus' love and power as it came into
contact with a stranger and sinner. I was hooked. I was addicted.
Jesus was not just a systematic theology, He was a living and
breathing Person, anxious to share His love to the world! He was not
lethargic and full of ritual and repetition. He was excited and
spontaneous in His expression of the Father's love. I found
myself quickly following His lead. I remember in the excitement of it
all jumping from my Christian friend's car, running toward a guy
walking down the street, yelling and waving, "Jesus loves you man!
Jesus really loves you!" Later that night the same guy told the
church that he was on his way to kill another man who was messing
with his girlfriend! That impulsive encounter literally saved a life!
I was addicted. Forever hooked on the power of God when darkness and
light collide. When a broken hardened heart accepts Jesus' love.
Once after spending most of the night from street corner to street
corner preaching in downtown Seattle, we started making are way back
home. When we hit 1st Ave. and Pioneer Square we stopped the car and
got out for a moment to pray and ask God's blessing on our
evening. It was around 4 in the morning. My friend David began softly
singing Amazing Grace. As we reached the chorus suddenly a dozen or
more street people crawled from the bushes and came from the shadows
to lock hand in hand and sing the song, "…how sweet the sound that
saved a wretch like me…I once was blind but now I see…." We
were stunned as this misfit choir awoke to His glory and came to lift
their voices and praise Him at 4 in the morning downtown Seattle!
With only the angels and Heaven to witness this divine assembly. We
were addicted to the awesome glory of the Lord.
I believe that is what Paul meant when he exclaimed, "Woe is me if I
preach not the gospel!" Those are the words of an addict. Someone
overcome with a Thing, a Person, a Power that flows through mere
human hands to open blind eyes and raise dead bodies. Paul was
addicted to the glory of God. "This one thing I do" Paul said, "I
forget the things that are behind me and reach forward to what lies
ahead of me. I strive for the upward call in Christ Jesus…" Paul
was addicted to the glory of God. An addict can never have enough. He
always needs more. As his tolerance level rises he is forced to feed
his habit an increased amount of that substance. It is no wonder then
that Paul exhorted, "But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in
a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same
image from glory to glory…" (2nd Cor. 3:18). One taste was not
enough, one encounter with a crippled person was not enough, one
confrontation in the synagogue did not satisfy his craving, he had to
have more! Paul was an addict. Forever hooked on the glory and power
of His Master Jesus Christ. God give us an army of them!
If your relationship and devotion to the Lord has become predictable
and boring, I dare you then to find a stranger anywhere and share the
Love that the Lord has so abundantly shed abroad in your heart! Give
away what has been freely given to you and you too will find yourself
hooked on this glory that can in seconds turn a derelict into a
disciple. A pimp into a preacher, a beggar into a prophet. Break out
of the conformed walls of your religion and begin to shout from the
housetops what Jesus has whispered in your hearts! Let the whole
world know what He has done for you! And in that very moment you will
become an addict of his glory as so many already are!
You too will shout with a voice of triumph and the sound of singing
will be heard in the streets of your city or town! A river of revival
will flow from your heart and wash away the needles and beer cans
that litter our streets and neighborhoods. Only then will we see the
harvest that are hearts have longed for. Only then will we witness
the power and glory of God shake the land as in days of old. God give
us an army of addicts, addicted to your glory, that cannot sleep or
rest until they have seen your power and passion shake this nation.
Let the fire of your desire burn in their veins until they have fully
satisfied that craving for more of You. Meet them Lord, meet them on
the hi-ways and bi-ways and show them your glory…

Psalm 139:1-6,14 (Amplified Bible)
O Lord, you have searched me [ thoroughly] and have known me. You
know my downsitting and my uprising; You understand my thoughts afar
off. You sift and search out my path and my lying down, and You are
acquainted with all my ways. For there is not a word in my tongue
[still unuttered ] , but, behold, O Lord, You know it altogether. You
have beset me and shut me in - behind and before, and You have laid
Your hand upon me. Your [infinite] knowledge is too wonderful for
me; it is high above me, I cannot reach it. I will confess and praise
You for You are fearful and wonderful and for the awful wonder of my
birth! Wonderful are Your works, and that my inner self knows right
well.
QUIETNESS--EVEN OF OUR MOUTHS . . . . A GENERAL WORD TO THE BODY
Many of God's wonderful saints this season whether at work or at rest
are feeling the greater drawing of the Holy Spirit to a season of
quietness of mind, soul, and yes, even our mouth. Even in the midst of
people , there is like an oasis that the Holy Spirit is building
within us where the river of His refreshment is available IMMEDIATELY.
There is a new calmness that is beginning to descend and rest upon
God's people. This is not resignation or giving up, but a rising up
to a new level of faith and trust that GOD IS TOTALLY IN CONTROL OF
OUR CIRCUMSTANCES AND SITUATIONS EVEN WHEN WE ARE DOING NOTHING AT ALL
ABOUT THEM.
For truly God is preparing the way for His people. As we rest, He is
at work.
SPECIAL WORD FOR THOSE WORKING AND LABORING IN THE WILDERNESS
God has placed a very special group of His chosen ones in My heart.
These are people who have labored on the frontline like missionaries or
full time workers-- and even those involved in church planting works.
Some of you are not in ministry related works, yet the nature of your
work is still sowing and preparing for the kingdom of God where you
are.
What has set you apart is that your work is not seen by men but only very
few of your acquaintances are aware of your work and labor. You have
been supported by close family members and friends , and many times
your support comes from your own.
Your strength lies in the knowledge firmly planted in your heart that
GOD HAS CALLED YOU TO LABOR IN THAT PLACE and this is what matters
most to you. You have given up your all in response to the call of
the Bridegroom.
GOD'S MESSAGE TO YOU, LABORERS IN THE WILDERNESS
"My people, My children, My beloved, My partners. . . . . I know
you by name. You are mine. As you have given me your all, So am I
preparing to pour out My all to you. Wait, Watch and Be amazed"
"As the potter fashions clay, so have I fashioned you into vessels
worthy of honor. One that the Master delights to use for special
occasions and events of great magnitude. You look at yourselves and
you see nothing-- but I look at you and I see jewels and gems fit for
the King to wear."
"I will be wearing you as My Jewels and I will be showing you before My
court. People will come and they will begin to see you as I know you
and see you already. For I have fashioned you by hand, and you are mine.
. . . A special treasure hidden in the secret place of My chest."
"The season of your unveiling is near. You will not have to strive for
this. Many of you will not even notice this. But it will come , not
gently or slowly but like the RUSHING SOUND OF GREAT WATERS or the
blowing wind of the storms. It will be winds of blessings, sounds of
rejoicing that will be heard in your camp."
Again I say to you all " I know you by name and your are mine."
PRAYER TO OUR GREAT AND LOVING GOD, "YOU SPOKE AND IT WAS DONE!"
"Father, your words declare 'For the word of the Lord is right; and
all His work is done in faithfulness. For He spoke, and it was done;
He commanded , and it stood fast. (Psalm 33:4,9)
Our prayer today. . . let everything be done according to Your words for
us. Fill us with Your awesome Presence day by day and moment by
moment, for in Your Presence, words will not be necessary. We thank
you and praise you for everything that You have done, are doing and
will do on our behalf. All these praises we lift up to you in our
Savior Jesus Christ's most wonderful name . Amen!"
Blessings abundantly,
Sis. Ching Co
That You May Prevail
As I have said, I will proclaim liberty to the captives. As I have promised,
I will yield the harvest on every seed planted. In My Word it declares that
I am faithful and just and what ever a man sows, that he will also reap.
In these days of trials by fire the sowing hasn't stopped and for this, I am
pleased with My people. But I need for all of My children to come to the
understanding that through the test you must be faithful. For trials locate
people; their reaction reflects their relationship with Me.
My children, trials are not easy, for I know the pain enduring a trial
brings. But I prevailed over the enemy that you may prevail.
Through every trial there are two doors. One door leads to victory and
the other to failure. In each case, you must open the door. You must
exercise or activate your faith to prevail and overcome the trial. For the
speed of your reaction to the problem faced, enables Me to guide you
through and over, into victory.
My Word holds the strategic movement you must take to press on through every
situation. Rely on Me and My way forward and together we will overcome and
press satan's neck closer to the ground. Make the choice today . . . . do
not allow the situation, trial or test to overcome you. Stand firm in My
truth, My Word and overcome in My strength. You see, nothing is gained when
you fight your own battles your way and in your strength, for it will lead
to exhaustion and failure. Many of My people are 'tired' because of this
very thing, fighting the problem they face in their strength. This won't
work, it only gives the enemy a bigger foothold to bring My children down.
But I am here to raise you up! I am here that you might overcome.
Learn to trust Me . . . how? By first knowing Me and My Word, which will
reveal My faithfulness. My Word is the key to open the door that leads
to victory. I say to you today, use it. It's there in front of you!
Open My truth and allow Me to feed you daily with overcoming strategic
plans. For My Word holds the answers and as you read them, My Spirit will
reveal them to you, that you may use My Word in action, which will produce
life and victory!
I have given each and everyone of you, My children, overcoming power. The
power is Me and as you lean on Me and trust in Me, you will walk through
the valley of the shadow of death in victory!
Every blessing to you all,
Yours in Christ,
