The Race Is On
Anna Harmon
Recently in a dream, the Holy Spirit took me through a church setting in which I recall entering into this church perhaps being invited by the pastor. No sooner than I was escorted to the place I was asked to sit, I noticed to my right in the middle section of pews some people gathered around a man. I noticed a couple of people telling somebody to go call the ambulance. I also noticed some people calling out the Lord to heal the man, but there was no power in what they said. And I also noticed a couple of people working feverishly to revive the man through CPR.
Meanwhile, the pastor surprisingly remained calm and proceeded with his message. In my past church experience, I'm aware of the story a man who died in a service and people acting exactly as described in the above mentioned paragraph. Many of the Christians I knew at that time were rather flaky in their walk with the Lord -- myself included -- and our mindset was that it was the man's time to go. All the prayer in the world and rebuking death wasn't going to bring him back.
It's sort of unfortunate that myself and many others thought that way. But that's the way you really do when you're being weighted down with sin in your life. In this dream, I was not sure what I was supposed to do. I wanted to go over and help. Then again I wanted to go over and pray that this man would be raised. The Holy Spirit simply told me to just watch.
I recall the pastor finally address the situation. He simply pointed his hand over there and spoke some words and all of a sudden everyone saw the man rising up from the floor. Needless to say, as this man rose from the floor, those that had been circled around him began praising and glorifying God.
As the man began gathering his senses, one of the men who tried reviving him collapsed. But there was no work done for him. He was simply carried out of the church, reminding me of what happened to Annanias and Saphira.
The interpretation of the dream was this: The man who was behind the pulpit was an apostle that had been invited to speak. He is one of many that God has raised up for this last dispensation before Christ's return. Just as the apostles were used to establish and set churches in order according to doctrine, as noted in the book of Acts, they will be used in these last days to set the Church up for Christ's return. God always does things decent and in order.
The man that had been raised from the dead was a recipient of God's grace. God allowed this man to experience death, but be brought back to life by the God's resurrection power and His grace. The key to receiving God's grace and resurrection power is by walking in obedience and humility.
"God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble." (James 4:6)
"And being found in appearance as a man He (Christ) humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name . . ." (Philippians 2:8-9)
God's judgments leads to revival
The signs, wonders and miracles were among the things associated with the apostolic era that marked the Church's beginning. There are many current Christians that are under the impression with these manifestations of God's grace revival will come.
The answer is no.
As previously mentioned, one of the men that attempted to revive the man that eventually rose from the dead also died. He was immediately carried out. I realized that in this apostolic era that has now come that along with the manifestation of God's grace comes His judgment. It is through His judgments that repentance is produced, which then brings about revival.
The Church must realize that in this era that has come upon us that God must always be revered, and that His grace cannot be taken in vain. More so, since much more is being given in these sinful days, much more will be required of us. (See Luke 12:48)
Two passages of scriptures came to me as I saw this man leave the church. The first can be found in Leviticus 10 in which the Bible describes the death of Aaron's two eldest sons, Nadab and Abihu.
God's judgment was most severe upon these two men -- death -- because much had been given to them with respect to their position among the people of Israel. They were sons of the high priest, Aaron, and thus there were certain things we can easily deduce they should have already known.
"By those who come near Me I must be regarded as holy; and before all the people I must be glorified." (Leviticus 10:3)
According to some teachings, Nadab and Abihu were devoured by God's wrath -- fire -- because they offered profane fire before Him. In other words, they came before Him much like one would offering before an idol. Other teachings divulge the two sons of Aaron lost their lives because they attempted to usurp authority. Aaron the high priest was supposed to burn the censor before God. Besides, Aaron was allowed to go before God's presence once a year in the tabernacle in the Holy of Holies.
Another teaching points out the fact these two young men came before God just any way as His ministers. In this particular case, there are those who are of the opinion that they entered before God's presence drunk -- and this was while wearing their priestly garments. Ministers should realize that God's anointing is too precious to lose by indulging in the things of the world.
Nadab and Abihu's mistake was extremely costly. It not only cost them their lives, but they lost their respective place in the lineage of high priest, and the inheritance that came with it. The Bible will go on to describe the next son in line, Eleazar, succeeded his father as high priest and in the book of Numbers (chapter 25), his son, Phinehas, was rewarded by for his godly zeal with receiving the covenant of peace that was bestowed upon Abraham.
The next example can be found in Acts 5 in the story of Annanias and Sapphira. Many teach how this husband and wife died because they lied to the Holy Spirit. The Lord showed me that many that call themselves ministers before God, or those believers that may have done many good things, have lived a lie too long and they do not realize how close they are to judgment.
God was still glorified through Annanias and Sapphira's deaths because great fear came upon the church. The fear was the reverence for the awesomeness and holiness of God, and this is something that is desperately missing in the Church today. For that to be re-established God's judgment is necessary. We must be willing to examine ourselves by looking in the mirror of God's word, which is more than able to show us exactly how we look before Him.
Thus, living a lie, which produces a distorted image of us, is taking God's grace in vain. The apostle Paul urged believers in Corinth not to miss out on the opportunity that had been presented to them, and so is the opportunity the Church now as we see more of God's apostolic order be re-established in the Church.
"For He says: 'In an acceptable time I have heard you, and in the day of salvation I have helped you.' Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation" (2 Corinthians 6:2)
The race is on
Because the time has come to the Church, God's movements will be even swifter and one must be walking closer to Him than ever before in order not to miss it.
All the training that many of God's people have gone through has been for the days that are immediately ahead. Some of us have gone through our qualifying heats and now we're on the track for the Olympic final.
The Lord gave me the analogy of an Olympic final in the 1,500 meters. This race is perhaps the most tactically run out of all the track and field events because the race is literally not won by the swiftest of person, but the one who can endure all the jockeying and jostling that takes place for the first 1,200 or so meters.
Simply put, the runner that usually wins this race is best able to stay close to the lead and be able to time his move at the right moment.
The Holy Spirit is whom the Lord given us to better understand the mind and heart of God through Christ, whom the Bible describes as the author and finisher of our faith.
"He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches." (Revelation 3:22)

A TIME AND A SEASON
Months ago, the Lord began to speak to me about a season of silence for
His prophets. As I questioned Him as to the reason for this time of
silence, I felt the Lord began to reveal to me His purpose in all of this.
Over the last few months, I have prayed and fasted and pon-
dered this time of silence for many of us, and I felt the Lord began to
speak to me about His wounded children, repentance, judgment and renewal.
This is something I felt the Lord speak to me weeks ago, yet it was not
until last week that I felt a release in my spirit to share these things
with anyone else. I waited another week as I asked the Lord for
confirmation that it was indeed the right time to share this with others.
Over the last few days, this has been reconfirmed to me on numerous
occasions.
To those of you who may be reading this, I ask you to pray about this, and
have the Lord confirm it to your own heart if it is, indeed, from His
Spirit.
********************************************
In my mind, it was as if I saw a large group of people gathered before the
Lord. We were all standing on a mountain top. Our eyes were firmly fixed
upon the Lord. We were not speaking, and we were moving hardly at all. Our
attention was totally upon the Lord. The Lord was speaking to us, and
touching us individually as He spoke to us (as if He were ministering to
us in a healing way).
When He was finished speaking to us, I noticed a small mallet in His hand.
With this mallet, the Lord began to hammer at us as a group. When we were
in pieces before Him, He put down the mallet. I then noticed a bowl and a
pestle in front of the Lord. He began to scoop up the pieces of ourselves
and put the pieces of us in the bowl in front of Him. Then, with the
pestle, the Lord began to push firmly down on the pieces of us in the bowl
with a grinding and twisting motion until we were as a rough powder.
The Lord put down the pestle, and picked up a sieve. There was another
bowl in front of Him that was empty. The Lord began to pour the powder
through the sieve into the empty bowl. The empty bowl was filled with a
fine powder. The sieve had smaller chunks and pieces in it. The Lord put
the chunks and pieces of the powder back into the first bowl, and began to
once again grind at this powder with the pestle. Then, He poured this
powder through the sieve. It was a process that the Lord repeated many
times, until only a few small hard pebbles were left in the sieve. The
Lord tossed these pebbles aside.
"Explain this to me," I asked the Lord.
"It is only the weak who wound others," the Lord said to me. "They wound
out of fear, intolerance, misunderstanding, and from the mistaken belief
that they are defending Me. It is very often a controlling and domineering
spirit of lust for power and position within a person's heart which causes
them to wound others. My prophets have been much wounded at the hands of
those who have not understood the purpose of My prophets. I am working out
reconciliation and forgiveness on the part of those who have wounded, and
those who have been wounded. My prophets have not always been faultless,
but this has for the most part been from ignorance and
immaturity on their part, not out of a spirit of maliciousness.
To be able to more fully use My prophets for the next phase of how I will
be using them to minister to others, I will bring their wounds upon them
once again. I will cause them to become alone with those wounds, and with
the remembrance of those wounds. I will do this in order to deliver them
from the memory and the remembrance of those wounds. As they struggle with
the issues of bitterness, resentment and unforgiveness within their hearts
and minds, their wounds will become alive and fresh to them once again.
This is a time of great soul searching and repentance on the part of My
prophets. I am breaking them once again, and grinding away at the
impurities within them to refine them."
"For what purpose?" I asked the Lord.
"Behold!" the Lord said to me.
I looked outwards from the top of the mountain upon which a large group of
people and I were standing with the Lord. We saw a large tree before us.
It was growing upwards, outwards, and downwards. I could somehow perceive
the depth of its root system, and that this root system was spreading
mightily under the earth.
As the roots of this large tree spread, I saw smaller trees beginning to
sprout upwards. These smaller trees grew to varying heights and produced
various types of fruit of varying degrees of quality. (A very few trees
produced no fruit at all, or what appeared to be bad fruit).
"Come, it is time," I heard the Lord say.
I looked over at the Lord, and saw that He held a large bow (like a bow
used for arrows) in one of His hands. He began to reach out, and take a
person from the group gathered before Him. He would then place this person
into the bow as if they were an arrow, and shoot this person at a tree. As
the person flew through the air towards a tree, the person would become as
a flame of fire. When the person hit the tree, they became embedded in the
tree, and seemed to set the tree on fire. This happened over and over and
over again.
Some of the trees that had caught on fire had some of their branches,
leaves and fruit burn up in the fire. Other trees didn't seem to fully
burn up, and were relatively unchanged from the fire. But every tree had
some burning from the fire come to it.
I then heard a blowing sound. I glanced over towards the Lord, and became
aware that it was He Who was doing the blowing. He was blowing towards the
trees. The blowing started out gentle, then became more and more fierce.
By the time the wind from the blowing reached the trees, it was like the
strength of a hurricane.
The wind hit the trees and seemed to turn the trees inside out. The trees
began to twist and shake from the force of the wind. I saw fruit falling
from the branches of the trees to the ground. I saw branches being
stripped of their leaves. I saw and heard branches breaking and falling to
the ground. Some of the trees snapped in half (leaving only the roots and
the trunk). Other trees were totally uprooted.
When the wind stopped blowing, I noticed new, fresh shoots beginning to
spring forth from the remaining, surviving trees.
I immediately felt in my spirit that the large tree was Christianity, and
the smaller trees were denominations. The people the Lord shot at the
trees, who became as a flame of fire and brought fire to the trees, I felt
were sent to bring the fires of repentance back to the churches. Whatever
is not of the Lord in the church, will be consumed in and by the fire.
After the fire of repentance comes upon the church, the wind from the Lord
will fall. The wind will strip from the church (denominations) those
things that are not of God, but are things man has added to the truth. The
wind will literally turn many churches and congre-gations inside out. The
things which have been hidden and concealed, will become plainly visible
and will be exposed. Many churches and denominations will be totally
uprooted. For some churches, only the roots and the trunk will remain.
These are the foundational truths that denominations built upon, and are
of the Lord.
When the fire and the wind have passed, new growth will blossom on the
remaining trees.
For the months I have pondered these visions, and have felt the Lord
speaking to me, I have begun to feel that for this next move of God, God
desires to use a people who are free of those things which would hinder
them from being fully used of the Lord. I feel the next move of God is so
delicate, and is to a people who are already so wounded and confused, yet
also so very hungry for the Lord and for a move from God, that if we go to
these people without having been broken by God and having had the fires of
repentance burn away those things within ourselves which are displeasing
to God, we will serve to hinder and not promote a move of God. If we
harbor unforgiveness, bitterness, and a wounded and offended spirit within
ourselves, we could very well abort the next move of God.
This is a critical time and place for the church. God is breaking many of
us, and bringing us through the fire. It is a continuing process which is
painful. Memories of past wrongs are being brought back to the surface of
our minds. We must decide whether, and how, to deal with these issues. God
is whittling away at all within us that is not of Him, or is displeasing
to Him.
I feel such a spirit of reconciliation and healing coming to those in the
churches who in times past have been separated by misunderstandings and
misconceptions. I sense the Lord is gathering His people together as a
whole, to bring us to a place of repentance, and to bring us back to our
first love of Him. It is through this spirit of unity and love that we
will be able to effectively reach out to and minister to others.
We cannot do this through a wounded, unforgiving spirit. To heal, we must
be healed. To mend, we must be mended. To all things there is a time and a
season. We are each, individually, in a time and a season with the Lord
where we will find greater intimacy with Him if we endure the refining
process He is taking us through. When the process is complete, there will
come a time and a season of renewed growth in the Lord.
In Him,
The River and the Tributaries
Becky McLendon
It appears that the way things are set up in post - Apostolic Christendom is askew.
You see, God's agenda is like a mighty river flowing. It has a beginning (Alpha) and and ending (omega).
The many "local churches" all over the world are like tributaries on either side of the river. These "local
churches," which are the community of believers in a city or region, are divided up by many little streams:
The First Church, the Second Church, the 4th Street Church etc. buildings. Now, in the natural, the streams
flow into the tributaries which flow into the river itself. When streams dry up and do not flow into the
tributaries, the tributaries dry up enough to get "blocked off" from the river and become dead and stagnant.
Christendom as it is today is like this.
We hear people talking about the "River of God"..we joke about getting drunk in the river, dancing in the
river, swimming occasionally in the river. But never REMAINING IN THE RIVER and flowing with it.
Invariably the river dancers to back to their tributary and then back into their little stream. Something is
amiss and the tributary dries up, stagnating. Something has cut that community of believers off from the
RIVER. What is wrong here? THINKING.!!!!
You see,we have this mind set: "OH YES LORD we want your river to flow through OUR STREAM. come to
our STREAM and flow through it. Then all the other streams in our tributary will see and other tributaries will
see that YOUR RIVER flows through US and they will want to come here too!!! The river will be diverted
through US." This is what has blocked the streams and then the tributaries off.
Oh some have taken a really good frolic in the River and have drunk deeply of its waters...They have
lassoed it and have tried to drag it completely back to their STREAM so they can impact their TRIBUTARY.
Singing COME TO THE RIVER won't work in a stream!!! We are in actuality singing come to
OUR STREAM and be blessed. Should be " Let's GO JUMP INTO THE RIVER" and stay there.
Many now believe the river is only at certain streams and if only they can get THERE they can get into the
River of God. But the Lord says GET IT RIGHT!
The streams must flow WITH THE TRIBUTARY (THE individual congregations of Believers must flow
together as the LOCAL COMMUNITY OF BELIEVERS) INTO the RIVER of GOD and STAY THERE...They
most flow into MY RIVER and become ONE with me. Until there will be stagnation and fragmentation,
EVEN if you appear to be blessed.
So if we are going to truly experience the flow of God, we are going to get into the flow and not ask the flow to
take a side trip through us so we can have it to ourselves and expect all other to come to us.
Splish splash!!!! AMEN

Home Churches
Don Myers
In China, where an atheist government controls the political, social, and
spiritual affairs of the state, there are only 'show-and-tell' church
buildings sponsored by the Communist party. These govt. sponsored churches
are few, and are appropriately called, "The Three-Self Church."
Menawhile, the true church of Jesus thrives in the midst of harsh
persecution. Some missionary groups have estimated that there are
approximately 300 million born-again believers un the underground church.
Most of these meet in secret in homes. Here you have more Chinese
Christians meetings in homes than the entire United States' total
population!
Add to this number the millions of believers who meet in homes in other
persecuted countries in the Sudan, Kenya, Pakistan, Iran, Saudi Arabia,
Ethiopia, Indonesia, and so forth. This would indicate that more believers
across the globe meet in homes rather than church buildings! And in these
persecuted countries, the church continues to grow in strength and numbers.
Meanwhile, in America....we have a recycle program going on. If you get
tired of this church, go to the next. Little unity, lots of lukewarmness,
and a whole lot of the world. Perhaps God is preparing the United States
and it's Christian community for persecution to light the fire under the
Smelter's pot?
2 Tim 3:12
Perhaps the house church movement in America is preparation for the future
persecution, when "churches" as we know them will be shut down by the
government. Is this a possibility?

WARFARE OF INTIMACY
In April I submitted a word to the Elijah List entitled "Spying on the Enemies War Room." http://www.elijahlist.com/spying042700.htm (Published on Five-Fold Today at http://latter-rain.com/archive/5-1-2000.htm)
In that word I felt that the Lord was going to reveal schemes and tactics
of the enemy to the intercessors. The Lord has revealed several things
to our intercessors through our obedience to "plant listening devices"
[through our prayers and intercessions] in the enemy's war
room. I want to share one thing in particular at this time. This
revelation unfolded over a period of a couple of months through a
series of visions.
HAND-TO-HAND COMBAT
In the vision, initially I saw Satan and myself in hand-to-hand combat.
We were face to face circling one another like boxers in a boxing ring.
We were engulfed in a cloud of dark smoke and fog. We were not touching
one
another, yet there was a battle taking place. The smoke was so thick
that I could hardly keep a visual on him, so most of my concentration
and focus was set on keeping him in my sights. As this was happening,
I felt like the Lord showed me that this is one of the enemy's most
effective strategies waged against the intercessor, the warrior, the
church. If he can keep you in a "cloud of confusion,"-- if he can keep
your focus on trying to find him, if he can keep you in hand-to-hand
combat, then he can keep control of you.
"COME UP HIGHER, THE LORD SAID."
Then I heard the Lord say, "Come up higher." I found myself leaving
the confusion of battle and entering into the presence of the Lord.
As this happened I looked down and I could see Satan searching
aimlessly in the smoke and fog for his opponent. The Lord then said
to me, "Intercession and warfare, as you have known it, is changing.
There is a warfare that I am calling My intercessors, warriors and
worshipers to. It is the Warfare of Intimacy. This Warfare of
Intimacy takes place at a much higher level than the warfare that has
been waged in the second heaven."
HAND-TO-HAND WAS NECESSARY BUT THE GROUNDWORK IS LAID
The hand-to-hand combat has been necessary to battle through the dark
places in order to enter the next realm with the Lord. Now, however,
because of the groundwork that has been laid, the Lord is extending
and invitation for His bride to come up into this place of the Warfare
of Intimacy.
I saw Jesus, the intercessor, according to Scripture, sitting at the
throne of God offering intercession on our behalf. (Romans 8:34)
It was out of relationship and love that His intercession was released,
and it was with such tenderness, peace and gentleness. Totally different
than any intercession or warfare I had ever been involved with or even
seen before.
BEYOND THE CLAMOR
As we move beyond the clamor and clatter of the hand-to-hand battles--
As we move out of the smoke and dark clouds--- as we move into His
Presence and into His courts of intimacy, then He says that confusion
will be sent to the enemy's camp because the battle will be His!
UNITY
Then I began to see intercessors and worshippers together around the
throne of God. Intercessors were interceding and worshipers were
worshiping with tremendous unity. In so much unity in fact that
intercessors became worshipers and worshipers became intercessors.
All that I beheld in this place of worship was characterized by an
incredible intimacy with the Father.
A BRAIDING TAKING PLACE
The Lord then said that He is braiding together the intercessor, the
worshiper and the prophetic. That He is weaving them into one single
fabric. They will be different yet the same. The worshiper will
still have the characteristics of a worshiper, and the intercessor
will still have the characteristics of an intercessor, yet as they
come together under a greater prophetic anointing, they will
compliment one another's strong points and flow together in an unique
unity.
INTIMACY BRINGS CONFUSION TO THE ENEMY
As praise teams and intercessors come together and yield to the Spirit
of the Lord, they will find a greater prophetic release and a stronger
sense of God's presence upon their churches and services. The
intimacy between the Bride and the Bridegroom will increase and as the
enemy searches through the smoke for someone to fight, the Father will
continue to send more and more confusion into his camp!
THREE ASPECTS COMING TOGETHER, WORSHIPPER, INTERCESSOR, AND THE PROPHETIC
Finally, the Lord showed me that since the time Lucifer,(the worship
leader of heaven), the one that was created specifically for worship,
was cast down--- The Father has been without the "fullness" of that part
of His creation. Even though we worship in spirit and truth, even
though we come boldly before His throne, that position has never been
re-filled! It has been left vacant for ages. But the Lord says "Not
any longer! It has been reserved for a time, for a season and for a
people such as this! It's not because there haven't been worshipers
or there haven't been intercessors or there haven't been people after
God's own heart. It's because these three ingredients have had to come
together. Time, season and people. Worshiper, intercessor and the
prophetic. They are all coming together for the glory of God.
The Lord is saying that He is now filling that forfeited position that
Satan once held, with you, the intimate worshiper and the intimate
intercessor, and the prophetic. And in doing this, the Lord
is going to use the very thing Satan was created for and the position
he once held, to defeat him. The Lord is saying that it is time for
the church to have home court advantage. Don't get me wrong, there
will be times of hand-to-hand warfare and just scrapping it out with
the enemy, but now it will be done on our terms, not his. Glory be to
God!

"I CRIED TO THE LORD, " . . . HOW DO WE DEAL WITH REBELLION?"
SCRIPTURE:
"My dear children, for whom I again in the pains of childbirth until
Christ is formed in you." Gal 4:19
WEEPING FOR THE EAGLE
I saw a vision of a double-headed eagle surrounded by a group of men
and women. The eagle was evidently full of pride and as it raised
itself up, the Lord's people came around the bird with a sword and
began to hack the eagle to death. As it lay dying, the double headed
eagle's appearance changed to that of a young eaglet (with only one
head). The people of God began to weep and mourn for the loss of the
young eaglet, as they watched its chameleon-like transformation.
IT'S TRUE IDENTITY HIDDEN
I discerned that the double-headed eagle was a symbol of rebellion,
particularly in the younger generation and that the men and women in
the vision represent the older generations. The true appearance of
the young eagle had been hidden from them because of the rebellious
attitude of his heart. He had appeared a threat to the kingdom of
God, but on closer inspection he was not a threat, but simply a child
of God that required discipline and wise counsel.
THE FATHER'S MERCY, EVEN TO THE REBELLIOUS
I was reminded of king David and his son Absalom, and how Absalom
became proud and rebellious, to the extent that he attempted to usurp
his father's kingdom through a coup. Absalom won the hearts of the
men of Israel. He was attractive and wily. He offered false justice
to those who were seeking wise counsel from the king. Absalom was
eventually killed by Joab (the king's army commander), despite king
David's instruction to spare his life. Rebellion is as the sin of
divination, yet the Father's mercy extends even to the rebellious if
they will humble themselves and repent under His mighty hand.
I WEPT AT THE ENEMY'S STRATEGY
I wept as I saw a possible strategy of the enemy unfold in this
vision. I believe that Satan desires to continue to splinter
relationships, especially between the older and the younger
generations. Each generation may fall prey to pride, but I sense that
the younger generations may be more vulnerable at this time. I cried
to the Lord, and asked Him "How do we deal with rebellion?". His
response was "Come in the opposite spirit", and with these words, the
second part of the vision began to unfold.
INSTEAD . . . THEY FORMED A CIRCLE OF PROTECTION
I was shown the double-headed eagle once more surrounded by a group of
men and women. The eagle behaved in exactly the same manner as
before, demonstrating a proud and rebellious attitude. This time,
however, the men and women did not take up the sword against the
eagle. Instead, they formed a circle of protection around the eagle.
The bird attempted to force its way through the circle, by ramming the
walls, but was unable to go beyond its boundaries. The young bird
then attempted to take its own life, by throwing itself from a great
height, expecting to be dashed to pieces on the ground. There were
some in the circle who lay down on the ground, to prevent the young
bird from destroying itself. This action spoke of sacrifice and a
willingness to protect the young eaglet at any cost. Eventually the
young eaglet became still and a deep peace and humility pervaded the
heart of the bird. At this moment, the bird transformed from a double
headed eagle, to a young eagle (with one head). The transformation
had taken place without the loss of life.
The vision continued and I watched the young eagle grow and become
strong, staying within the boundaries that God had placed around it.
The vision finished with the young eagle flying off into the horizon,
soaring under the wing of a mature eagle. They flew together, with a
unity that was glorious to behold.
ABSALOM OR SOLOMON?
The Spirit impressed a question to my mind, which I believe is for the
body of Christ. "Will you have a son like Absalom who will die by the
sword, or will you have a son like Solomon who will prosper My kingdom
and usher in My Glory"?
There is a choice before the church at this moment in time. Which
shall she choose? As the priesthood is restored, the church will
begin to walk in the kingly anointing through her sanctification.
With the outpouring of the kingly anointing, I believe the enemy will
also pour out a counterfeit kingly anointing. One of his strategies
in the past was to destroy the relationship between David and Absalom
(father and son) through the sin of rebellion. As the next generation
of radical young believers is released to the body of Christ, we (the
older generations) are required to instruct them in the way of Grace,
guarding our own hearts from rebellion and pride, and putting
protective boundaries of Godly wisdom and discernment in place around
them. Just like the young eaglet in the vision, the outward
appearance of some of these young people may seem rebellious. It is
our job as elders in the church, to nurture them to maturity,
encouraging complete faithfulness to God and to His eternal covenants.
YOUNG EAGLE AND MATURE EAGLE, FLYING TOGETHER INTO THE HIGHER PURPOSES
The vision ended with a young eagle and a mature adult eagle flying
together, entering into the higher purposes and callings of God
together. The call to spiritual parenting is before us. May we bring
Jesus great glory as we model the qualities of Christ in our own lives
and see them replicated in the lives of young men and women that the
Lord entrust to our care.
David and his son Solomon worked together to usher in the Glory of
God. David recognized his young son lacked experience and he did
everything within his power to assist Solomon to walk in the calling
set before him.
"Command and teach these things. Don't let anyone look down on you
because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech,
in life, in love, in faith and in purity. Until I come, devote
yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to
teaching. Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through a
prophetic message, when the body of elders laid their hands on you.
Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that
every one may see your progress. Watch your life and doctrine
closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both
yourself and your hearers." 1 Tim 4:11-16

ADDENDUM TO THE VISION
As I prepare to post this vision I have just been shown a continuation
of the 2nd vision. The 2nd vision ended with the young eagle flying
under the wing of the adult eagle. The two were flying in tandem.
This morning I have been shown the young eagle flying for a time with
the adult eagle, but then it flew off into the horizon on its own. I
believe the two birds flying in unison speaks of a season of
interdependence, as the apostolic and prophetic foundations are laid
for the next generation, and the mentoring process is set in place.
The young eagle reaches adulthood and is able to function
independently through the maturation process brought on through Godly
mentoring. This is confirmed when the young eagle flies of on its
own. The youngster has reached maturity and is able to function
independently ( I am not advocating separation between the
generations, rather a co-operative working together towards unity,
whilst recognizing that young people have their own unique identity,
calling and expression of fulfillment of the Great Commission within
the Body of Christ).

12 And indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be
persecuted.
(NAS)
4 In your struggle against sin, you have not yet resisted to the point of
shedding your blood.
5 And you have forgotten that word of encouragement that addresses you as
sons: "My son, do not make light of the Lord's discipline, and do not lose
heart when he rebukes you,
6 because the Lord disciplines those he loves, and he punishes everyone he
accepts as a son."
7 Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son
is not disciplined by his father?
8 If you are not disciplined (and everyone undergoes discipline), then you
are illegitimate children and not true sons.
9 Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we
respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of our
spirits and live!
10 Our fathers disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but
God disciplines us for our good, that we may share in his holiness.
11 No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however,
it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been
trained by it.
